The 2e Primer
The 2e Primer is a quick start guide, overview, and cheat sheet for 2nd Edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. It follows the chapter organization of the Player's Handbook and Dungeon Masters Guide, providing a condensed one to eight page summary of each chapter and its relevant sections. Every section, and many key concepts, are appended with page numbers corresponding to the 1995 reissued version of the books, which are the ones available for PDF download and print-on-demand at Drive Thru RPG.
New DMs and players interested in learning this unique edition can use the 2e Primer to gain a better understanding of the system before moving onto the books, or they can use the Primer as a companion guide while reading the source material. Experienced DMs and players can use the 2e Primer as a reference guide for commonly missed rules, or to quickly find needed sections within the books using the Primer's many page annotations.
The 2e Primer is consistently updated as errors are identified or suggestions are provided by readers. If you have recommendations that would make the Primer a better tool, please don't hesitate to provide feedback.
2e DM Screen
Designed as a companion tool for the 2e Primer, the 2e DM Screen provides most of the tables and rules that you may need during a game of 2nd Edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, including data for encounters, movement, combat, monsters, and XP. Like the 2e Primer, it lists page numbers for each section.
The 2e DM Screen is provided in both landscape and portrait orientation.
